ELECTRONIC FINGERPRINTING
From the 1st July 2011 SAPS will no longer perform Criminal Checks with name/ID.A set of fingerprints will be necessary. Mike Barnard & Co is set up to do Fingerprinting necessary for criminal background checks, under the auspices of MIE (formerly Kroll) Background Screening.. Mike Barnard – Director
Mike entered the HR arena in 1977 working as a Divisional HR Manager for two leading retail firms gaining extensive hands on experience in the Human Resource function. In 1989 Mike was invited to join KPMG (then Aiken & Peat Senior Appointments) as a recruitment consultant. After being with the firm for 3 (three) years, he was promoted to Director-in-charge of the division he formed vis.: Executive Appointments. In 2004 owing to legislation regarding the placement by auditing practices of staff at their clients becoming increasingly restrictive, Mike purchased the business as a going concern from KPMG and began trading as a separate entity, Mike Barnard & Co (Pty) Ltd.
Jane Urmson – Recruitment Consultant and Learning Specialist
Jane has been with Mike Barnard & Co for 2 yrs. After qualifying as a teacher, Jane taught both locally and overseas for 4 years before joining a learning and human performance consultancy. During this time she discovered her passion for learning and developing people to be the best they can be. After a number of years as a learning and human performance specialist, Jane joined Mike Barnard and Co as a recruiter.
Brigitte Rice – Recruitment and Human Resource Consultant
Brigitte has worked in the HR field for 12 years. She has a B.Com degree in Industrial Psychology and, always enjoying the experience and knowledge she gained in all aspects of the HR field, chose to remain in a “generalist” role while developing herself into an HR manager at a large IT company. She has chosen to specialize in recruitment.
Brenda Wallenda - Recruitment Consultant
Brenda's people skills are exceptional. She has had extensive Corporate experience in both a manufacturing and public enterprises environment. In addition Brenda is steeped in Administrative and Secretarial skills, is comfortable interacting at the highest levels in a corporation and therefore will add a new and highly professional dimension, to our recruitment team.
Karen Barnard - Accountant and Office Administration
Karen is responsible for the finance and administration of Mike Barnard & Co and handles payroll and HR and administration.
